Customer ReviewsYunus from Orlando, FL Nice hand-held chess computer. Probably good for players with a rating up to 1900. I've played this hand-held device against a few chess programs that estimate a chessplayer's playing strength and it was rated below 2000.If you are a strong club player or if you play with sub-master strength and you'd like an opponent which offers you a decent challenge without necessarily thumping your skull very badly, then this one is for you. If you are ranked above say 1900, and want something that would trounce you all the time, then you probably should go with a chess software and a computer with a fast processor. My playing strength is about 1700 and I've scored nice wins against this device (at its peak tournament rating) as well as lost several hard-fought games against it. Sometimes, it can be surprisingly weak tactically and appears to have problems spotting simple four- or five-move piece-winning combinations. But it makes for a good on-the-go partner and for playing blitz games against. The chess figures are easily recognizable and are definitely the best I've seen on any hand-held device. It also has a solid silver finish and a beautiful leather casing that make it look classy and expensive. Buy this one if you've got the money. Read all Reviews Write a Review Recommended Products |
